Gaynel Hodge – guest vocalist

Gaynel Hodge, is an outstanding and acclaimed Blues and Jazz musician and a Grammy™ Nominated Recording artist, Singer, Songwriter and a Pianist. In his impressive career he was   co-author of the Platinum hit 1950′s song, ‘Earth Angel’, founding member and musical director of such famous groups as ‘The Platters’, ‘The Turks’, and ‘The Hollywood Flames, on joined the world famous ‘Ink Spots’ on their European tours in the seventies. Gaynel was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1997.

Gaynel has written, sung, or played on numerous hits by Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Johnny Guitar Watson, Dr. John, Lou Rawls, Ted Taylor, Little Johnny Taylor and just about anyone who recorded in and out of the Los Angeles area. His recent work includes the production of an acclaimed smooth Jazz CD. Hodge and his Phoenix-based colleagues deliver inventive improvisation bolstered by a strong swing feeling, two important elements of both jazz and blues. Gaynel Hodge tours several months of the year throughout Europe, the Middle East and the United States. When not touring he performs weekly in Amsterdam and other venues throughout the Netherlands.

Gaynel has performed live with old friends Rob Agerbeek and Domagoy Ralasic  and recently as guest vocalist together with them and Adrienne West for the recording of the new  RTDP album ‘bout Time!
